A lot of times we hear people say things like ‘following the crowd’ or ‘…going by the popular route’ when it comes to making decisions. No matter what phrase is used, they all mean one thing: Doing what everybody else is doing because everyone is doing it. This by itself is a definition for lack of purpose.
Thinking about it, I’ve come to realise that there is no ‘popular route’, Everyone has a route in life that is specific to his/her purpose in life.
The popular route is just a collection of people who have lost their sense of purpose (and unavoidably have no direction), moving along the paths of someone who has discovered his/her purpose with the hopes of achieving what the person has achieved.
But the fact remains that no two people have the same purpose in life. So the people following the ‘popular route’ fail to achieve their daydreams…. and end up mediocre… like everybody else. Of course, that excludes me. What about you?
